Kanye West has returned to X after being suspended due to his highly criticized anti-Semitic remarks.
The artist has a history of irresponsible social media behavior and took it to an extreme last week with tweets that contained offensive comments about Jewish people, admiration for Adolf Hitler, and were generally inappropriate.
While many of his controversial tweets have been deleted and his account suspended, he has recently regained access, although his profile now carries a ‘sensitive content’ warning for those without an account on X. The timing of this warning addition remains unclear.
Users encountering this warning will see a message explaining that his profile may contain sensitive material, prompting them to confirm whether they wish to proceed.
Although most of the content from his outburst has been removed, one reply mentioning Nazis is still accessible as of Thursday morning.
One of his surviving posts from February 10 reads: “Since I’m getting kicked off Twitter soon everybody is a Nazi until a real Nazi pulls up.”
Musk Responds to Kanye’s Behavior
Elon Musk faced significant pressure to address Kanye’s social media conduct.
Speaking out about the incident, Musk stated: “Given what [Kanye] has posted, his account is now classified as NSFW [not safe for work]. You should not be seeing that anymore.”
In his last tweet on Sunday night, Kanye expressed his intention to log off, thanking Elon for the opportunity to share his thoughts.
He mentioned that it felt therapeutic to use the platform for expression, likening it to an Ayahuasca experience.
Kanye concluded with appreciation for those who engaged with him, saying, “To [sic] we connect again. Good afternoon and goodnight.”
