A recent investigation indicates that Kanye West and his spouse, Bianca Censori, may have created false divorce claims to distract from a sexual assault case initiated against him by his ex-assistant.
The rumors emerged earlier this month and are believed to be a deliberate tactic to overshadow the serious allegations against West, which involve claims of drugging and assaulting the woman.
As per a source cited by the Daily Mail, West is anxious about the repercussions of the lawsuit on his image, especially in light of the recent issues faced by Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was apprehended on charges related to sex trafficking.
“Kanye is aware of the situation with Diddy and has been consulting with his legal advisors,” the insider disclosed to the Daily Mail. The source implied that the divorce rumors could be a marketing strategy to divert attention from the allegations.
Concerns arise over the timing of the divorce rumors
Speculations about a fracture in the relationship between West, 47, and Censori, 29, emerged earlier this month, with claims that the couple—who tied the knot in December 2022—were encountering issues and on the verge of a breakup.
It was reported that their union was “unstable,” largely attributed to West’s “high expectations.” Nevertheless, they were spotted together in a loving manner during a trip to Tokyo, seemingly putting to rest talks of a split.
The timing has raised suspicions, as it coincided with new allegations of sexual misconduct against West made by his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta. Pisciotta claims in her lawsuit that she was drugged and assaulted while at a recording session with West and Diddy.
In the legal filings, she states that she was given a beverage “tainted with an undisclosed substance” and later found herself disoriented. West reportedly confessed to her that they had “hooked up” that night, which left her feeling “disgusted and numb.”
Pisciotta also notes that she wanted to resign but was fearful of being blacklisted. She further alleges that she was dismissed without the $3 million severance payment owed to her and claims inappropriate communication from West, including sending lewd text messages and engaging in sexually inappropriate behavior, such as exposing himself and pressuring her for sexual relations.
