Kelly Clarkson recently experienced a significant “moment of clarity” while facing personal challenges, prompting her to pause her talk show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” back in March. Fans were puzzled by her nearly two-week absence, which she described as addressing a “private matter.”
Upon returning for the show’s 1,000th episode, she became emotional, sharing with the audience, “We’ve built a community and supported one another through many ups and downs … Including my own personal challenges.”
As per a source close to Kelly, this break was crucial for her to reevaluate her life choices. “Like everyone, Kelly desires approval, but she needed to confront this new chapter in her life. She recognized the importance of stepping back for a while.” This hiatus followed her highly publicized divorce from Brandon Blackstock in 2020, which significantly impacted her emotionally. Kelly acknowledged to Apple Music earlier this year, “To be completely candid, I didn’t cope with [the divorce] very well.”
The relationship with Blackstock was intricate, given that he also served as her manager and played a vital role in securing her major NBC deals. He was instrumental in negotiating her lucrative contracts for “The Voice” and her talk show, and an industry insider noted, “It’s interesting that he has greatly benefited her career; without his efforts, she wouldn’t have reached this position. Yet, it’s challenging to juggle being a husband and a manager at the same time.”

Through it all, Kelly prioritizes her two children, River Rose (10) and Remy (8), who frequently appear on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” A close friend remarked, “Kelly grew up without a father, and she enjoyed a beautiful love story with Brandon.
