Kelly Stafford, the spouse of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, has revealed her admiration for Taylor Swift.
Recently, during her podcast “The Morning After Media,” Kelly caused a stir among Swift’s fans by criticizing the NFL’s focus on the pop star.
Kelly expressed her fatigue over what she described as the excessive coverage of Swift’s relationship with the Chiefs, saying, “I feel like there is just this… cloud hanging over with this Taylor Swift thing. I got tired of the NFL’s coverage of this budding relationship last year.” She acknowledged that Swift couldn’t control the situation, while commending her husband and the league’s players for their hard work, feeling overshadowed by the media focus.
Is Kelly secretly a Swift fan?
Despite her earlier remarks, Kelly shocked Swifties by getting her husband Matthew to dress as Swift and her partner Travis Kelce for Halloween, along with their four daughters in costumes inspired by Swift’s Eras Tour.
Interestingly enough, Kelly later showcased her fandom for Swift through a recent Instagram Story.
The post revealed her Spotify Wrapped results, highlighting that Taylor Swift was her most-listened artist of the year. It said, “You listened to 1,160 artists. But one had a special place in your heart. And ears. Taylor Swift was your top artist of the year. Your longest listening streak was 19 days. You’re a top 2% fan and you spent 3,938 minutes together. You overachiever.”
To further confirm her loyalty, Kelly added, “And people think I’m not a Swiftie… I’m top 2% of all Swifties” followed by two laughing emojis.
Kelly joins many others, as Swift herself wrapped up the year with over 26.6 billion streams, earning the title of the Global Top Artist.
