The former star of Real Housewives of Miami now reflects on the tumultuous relationship that garnered attention and criticism, stating it was a regrettable choice, influenced by the isolating impact of COVID-19.
In a recent episode of The Jason Lee Show, the 50-year-old reflected on the period during the COVID lockdowns and how she found herself in a relationship with Beasley, who was still married to Montana Yao at that time.
“That was a poor decision,” Pippen confessed. “I had COVID fatigue. I had just recovered and was trapped at home. He was around, and it just happened.”
The romance between Pippen and Beasley made headlines when they were seen walking hand in hand in Miami in late 2020.
This revelation shocked many, especially Beasley’s wife, Yao, who expressed her distress over the situation. Beasley later publicly apologized to Yao and their child before attempting to reconcile.
Handling Uncomfortable Situations and Moving On
As public scrutiny diminished, another layer of complexity emerged in 2023 when Beasley and Larsa’s son, Scotty Pippen Jr., played together on the Los Angeles Lakers.
Despite rumors of possible awkwardness, Larsa assures that their interactions were friendly.
“They had a nice chat while they were teammates, and everything was good,” she shared. “Our breakup wasn’t dramatic.”
Since that time, Pippen has embarked on a new romantic journey and is currently seeing former NBA player Jeff Coby.
The pair made their first public appearance together on the red carpet in April 2025, and they seem to be thriving as a couple. Coby, who is 31, recently announced plans to tie the knot with Pippen in November, expressing, “We’re set to marry in November 2025. It’s going to be a wonderful union.”
Although the couple has not publicly announced an engagement yet, their outings and comments hint at a deep commitment.
On the other hand, Beasley has also turned a new leaf, entering a relationship with Instagram star and influencer Natalia Garibotto. The couple went public with their relationship in April 2025 and seem to be enjoying their time together.
