Larsa Pippen is opting for a lower profile in her love life after her recent split from Marcus Jordan. The 50-year-old reality TV star and 33-year-old Jordan, who is the son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, made their relationship public in January 2023 after a period of speculation.
Viewers caught a glimpse of their relationship during Season 6 of “The Real Housewives of Miami” (RHOM), but by the time the final episodes were aired, their romance had already fizzled out. After a short-lived attempt to rekindle their relationship, the couple officially broke up in March.
While discussing her outlook on dating during an episode of the “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast, Pippen revealed her reluctance to showcase a future partner on RHOM. Although she is ready to date again, she finds the dating atmosphere in Miami quite tough, calling it “the worst place” for finding someone new, despite its vibrant social environment.
“I’ve been trying to stay under the radar,” she mentioned.
“My last relationship was very public, and now I prefer to keep certain aspects of my life private because it didn’t turn out well for me last time.
“I want to take the time to get to know someone, go on a few dates, and once I understand the vibe, I might consider sharing more about it.
“There’s a lot of attractive people around, making dating here complicated.”
A recent encounter
Pippen shared a story about a recent connection she made while out, which she quickly abandoned after her friends investigated his background.
“I met someone completely by chance … my friend even gave him a nickname, calling him ‘Tinder Swindler.’ They were like, ‘He’s definitely a scam artist,'” she recounted.
“That’s why I’m cautious about meeting new people; I tend to take them at face value. But when my friends start researching them, they come back saying, ‘He has zero online presence … nothing at all.’ So I’m like, ‘Alright, he might be dangerous.’
