A Los Angeles judge has officially approved the final accounting report submitted by Matthew Perry’s executor.
The court session on December 27 at the Los Angeles Superior Court moved Perry’s heirs closer to receiving their rightful inheritance, as revealed in court filings reviewed by In Touch.
The report was submitted by Matthew’s long-time business manager, Lisa Ferguson, as part of his probate proceedings. Both Lisa and Robin Suzan, ex-wife of actor Mike Myers, were appointed by Matthew as executors of his will, with the judge confirming ample evidence supported this decision.
The court concurred with plans for Lisa to receive $28,000 covering her legal costs and endorsed the distribution of assets as per Perry’s wishes in his will.
Reports indicate that Perry established a will in 2009, along with The Alvy Singer Living Trust, where most of his wealth was allocated.
Perry’s personal assets, which weren’t included in the trust, totaled around $1 million. Remaining possessions, such as his mansion in California, likely fell under the trust during his lifetime.
All claims have been settled
Lisa submitted the final report in October, informing the court that all outstanding debts had been settled. She noted that Perry’s assets outside the trust grew to $1,596,914.46 while she served as executor.
“The estate is solvent,” she stated, adding that any payment requests from third parties were resolved without court involvement.
The report also mentioned that a timely extension for filing the federal estate tax return had been submitted, and that adequate payments had been made for the anticipated estate taxes. Any additional taxes identified will be covered by her as Trustee of the Alvy Singer Living Trust, dated June 2, 1999, with amendments,” the report elaborated.
Beneath Perry’s trust, recipients include his father John Perry, mother Suzanne Morrison, ex-girlfriend Rachel Dunn, and half-sisters Emily, Caitlin, Madeline, and Maria Perry, as well as William Morrison.
Perry was discovered unresponsive in a hot tub at his Los Angeles residence following an apparent drowning incident on October 28, 2023.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that he succumbed to “acute effects of ketamine.” He was 54 years old at the time of his passing.
