Meghan Markle is once again in the spotlight for a heartfelt act of kindness. During a recent trip on American Airlines, the Duchess of Sussex delighted the cabin crew by leaving a handwritten note thanking them for their service.
This thoughtful gesture quickly gained attention after flight attendant Nina Vida shared the experience on TikTok, describing Meghan as “incredibly sweet” and “even more beautiful in person.”
As recounted by Vida, the crew had initially left a note for Meghan, which prompted her to write a reply on a napkin, expressing her thanks for their warmth and care.
Vida highlighted Meghan‘s graceful penmanship and shared a light-hearted moment where the Duchess complimented her nails, humorously taking a jab at a previous remark from the flight’s captain.
A history of thoughtful gestures
This is not the first occasion Meghan has made headlines with her handwritten notes. Back in March, she sent a personal message to podcaster Amanda Hirsch, who had voiced worries about potential negativity regarding Meghan’s Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan.” The Duchess offered her support, encouraging Hirsch to embrace the experience.
Meghan‘s love for handwritten communication goes back to her pre-royalty days as a freelance calligrapher. She often emphasizes the importance of personalized notes, previously stating on her former lifestyle blog, The Tig, that “handwritten notes are a lost art form.”
Since reactivating her Instagram in January 2025, Meghan has provided fans with insights into her life in Montecito alongside Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Her latest projects include launching the “As Ever” lifestyle brand, starting a Netflix series, and producing her podcast, “Confessions of a Female Founder.”
