Meghan Markle’s Unfortunate Fashion Choice at the Invictus Games: A Misstep in Style for 2025

Meghan Markle's Tasteless Invictus Games Outfit Marks Her First Fashion Fail Of 2025

Meghan Markle’s recent attire at the Invictus Games has sparked some discontent among royal fans, but it’s not about her fashion skills being lacking. Known for her impressive style over the years, Meghan showcased her fashion sense at the 2025 games, where injured veterans from various countries compete in this Olympic-style event, initiated by her husband, Prince Harry, in 2014. Although the games continue until February 16, Meghan has already worn several designer outfits, including a brown A.L.C. dress and a black Aritzia puffer coat.

However, the piece that’s drawn the most chatter is also controversial. On the opening day, Meghan donned a cream Alpaca Wrap Coat by Sentaler. While its understated design and prominent buttons add a sense of polish to her look, it comes with a staggering price tag of $2,290, as reported by Vogue. While it’s evident that the couple, with a combined wealth of $60 million, can afford it, many feel this coat is a bit extravagant for an occasion meant to honor veterans.

Nonetheless, Meghan’s fashion misstep hasn’t overshadowed the ongoing celebrations at the Invictus Games.

Meghan and Harry are enjoying the Invictus Games

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been sharing delightful insights from the Invictus Games with their followers. On February 11, Meghan posted videos on her Instagram Stories, capturing her experience at one of the winter sport activities specifically for new athletes at the games, where she was seen tubing down a snowy slope. Initially hesitant, she playfully exclaimed, “No, I really don’t want to do this,” before finally being pushed down the hill by a professional, resulting in some fun screams.

Prince Harry also took the stage, delivering an inspiring address to the athletes about their strength and determination. He noted, “Over the past decade, I’ve lost count of the times you’ve shared that the Invictus Games ‘saved you,'” adding that it was, in fact, their own resolve that led to their success: “You saved yourself.” He emphasized that the games reveal the athletes’ remarkable inner strength. “A spirit of fortitude and perseverance that can never be defeated. That is the magic of the Invictus Games.”

In summary, while Meghan’s outfit may have drawn some negativity, the Invictus Games continue to thrive and inspire.
