The actor, known for his role in Top Gun: Maverick, and his wife, Keleigh Sperry Teller, have developed a close friendship with Swift and Kelce over time.
During Super Bowl LIX, held on February 9, Teller reiterated his unwavering support for the Eagles. He expressed his clear stance as an Eagles fan, telling E! News, “My loyalties were solely with them, no matter who they faced.”
He humorously remarked, “Even if my mom was playing against the Chiefs, I would still cheer, ‘Go Birds!'”
Ultimately, Teller celebrated along with Eagles fans as the team secured a 40-22 win in New Orleans.
Jason Kelce’s Dilemma at the Super Bowl
While Teller was firm in his support for the Eagles, Jason Kelce faced a more complex situation due to his brother Travis playing for the Chiefs.
In a post on X, Jason shared his mixed feelings leading up to and during the game, reflecting on how difficult it was for their parents during the last Super Bowl when both brothers played against each other.
He expressed, “I expected to have mixed emotions, and now I understand what my parents experienced back then.”
As he balanced his support for his brother and his care for the Eagles organization, Jason stated, “I want my brother to succeed, but I also have a deep connection with my Eagles teammates and coaches.”
Despite celebrating the Eagles’ victory, he recognized that Travis would not want pity after a loss. He concluded, “I care deeply for him, and while these feelings are hard to process, he doesn’t need or desire my sympathy.
