For the first time in nearly two decades, Mexico is set to host the prestigious Miss Universe competition.
The event will take place at the Arena CDMX in northern Mexico City, welcoming the 130 most stunning women from around the world to compete for the coveted title during what will be the 73rd edition of this iconic pageant.
Participants will engage in various segments, including personal interviews, regional attire showcases, evening gown displays, and the popular swimsuit portion.
The reigning champion, Nicaraguan Sheynnis Palacios, will pass on her crown to the new titleholder.
Recently, the 130 contestants have explored Mexico’s diverse culture, visiting historical gems like Merida, Guadalajara, and the Teotihuacan pyramids.
Schedule for the Miss Universe 2024 Preliminary Event
The Miss Universe 2024 competition kicked off on Monday, November 11, involving various activities for the 130 contestants.
The official preliminary competition is scheduled for Thursday, November 14. This will feature the National Costume Show, where participants showcase attire representing their respective countries.
Additionally, the day will include the well-known Swimsuit Parade, during which contestants will vie for a chance to be among the 25 finalists selected for the final event.
On Saturday, November 16, judges will narrow the selection down to 12 finalists, culminating in the grand finale on Sunday, November 17.
