Fans excited for Caitlin Clark’s upcoming event at Ball State University featuring David Letterman should be aware of the stringent ticketing rules designed to accommodate the high level of interest.
Anticipation Builds for Caitlin Clark at Ball State
Caitlin Clark, a rising star in the WNBA with the Indiana Fever and former standout at Iowa Hawkeyes, will participate in the university’s David Letterman Distinguished Professional Lecture and Workshop Series on December 2.
Taking place at Emens Auditorium at 7 p.m., the event is expected to be a full house.
The ticket distribution is designed to give fair access to both university affiliates and the general public for this unique event.
To manage attendance and avoid long waits, Ball State has established specific dates for ticket distribution and limited the number of tickets each individual can obtain.
Students, faculty, and staff can collect tickets on campus during the weekend of November 16-17, with hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and 1-3 p.m. on Sunday.
This timing was specifically chosen to minimize interference with class schedules.
Students can get two tickets each, but must show a valid photo ID along with an additional student ID for the second ticket.
This policy is intended to provide more individuals the chance to attend, though it may hinder larger groups from sitting together.
Public tickets will be available at the Emens Box Office beginning at 10 a.m. on November 18, also limited to two per person on a first-come, first-served basis.
The box office operates from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and for inquiries, ticketing staff are accessible at 765-285-1539 or emens@bsu.edu.
Since launching in 2008, the David Letterman Lecture Series at Ball State has sought to motivate students by featuring influential guest speakers from various sectors.
Past speakers have included notable personalities like Tiara Thomas, the Oscar-winning artist, and journalist John Quiñones, both of whom shared inspiring stories.
The anticipated conversation between David Letterman and Clark will likely center around her impressive professional basketball journey, although the specific theme has yet to be revealed.
Caitlin made history as the WNBA’s number one draft pick, leading the Indiana Fever back to the playoffs after seven years, winning the hearts of fans across the country.
Her accomplishments embody the series’ goal of providing insights from exemplary figures who can inspire the future generation.
