Olivia Rodrigo and her audience experienced a shocking incident during the Guts World Tour in Melbourne on Sunday, October 14, when the 21-year-old singer unexpectedly fell through the stage.
The talented artist, known for her role in the High School Musical reboots, lost her balance in front of a crowd of 14,000 fans at the Rod Laver Arena during the final performance in the city, falling through an opening in the stage.
This unexpected event took place while she was actively engaging the audience with her microphone, but she accidentally slipped into the gap left open from a previous performance.
Spectators gasped in concern as she fell into the stage, but the quick-thinking pop star managed to hold onto the side of the stage, stopping her fall and pulling herself back up unharmed.
“Oh my God! That was fun,” Rodrigo remarked, brushing it off with humor. “I’m okay! Sometimes there is just a hole in the stage… Okay, where was I?”
Rodrigo’s tour has been a huge success, with all upcoming show dates already sold out. Fans can look forward to her performing popular tracks like Good 4 U, Vampire, and Bad Idea, Right?. Her latest album, GUTS, has garnered six Grammy nominations.
