Pippa Middleton’s Shocking Age Gap with Her Husband

Both Pippa and Matthews are passionate about sports, and even during their downtime, they took on the Race Across America in 2015. That same year, they also participated together in the Otillo Swimrun World Championship. In addition to their shared athletic pursuits, Pippa and her brother, James Middleton, took part in an event to raise funds for a foundation established by her fiancé in honor of his late brother. Matthews’ brother tragically passed away on Mount Everest in 1999, and the foundation aims to support children in rural Tanzania in Michael’s memory.

Years after their swimrun experience, Pippa and Matthews got engaged, and she joined her brother for another charitable endeavor benefiting the Michael Matthews Foundation. This time, they successfully reached the summit of the Matterhorn in Switzerland. Pippa later shared on her blog why her fiancé chose not to join them: “Mountain climbing … brings back haunting memories, so James opted to stay on solid ground while fully supporting us,” she explained (via People). Despite their noticeable age difference, it’s clear that both Pippa and Matthews are devoted to their families and are enthusiastic about engaging in activities for meaningful causes (or cheering from afar). They truly make an excellent pair!
