Kim Kardashian has decided to back out of her intended business partnership with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, leaving the Sussexes feeling let down as they continue to navigate away from the British Royal Family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been striving to make their mark in Hollywood, engaging in ventures such as a podcast and producing content for Netflix, following their controversial exit from royal duties.
Nevertheless, the couple has encountered increasing scrutiny and backlash lately. Their latest Netflix project, Polo, did not meet expectations, and a critical Vanity Fair article challenged their public persona.
There remains optimism for the forthcoming documentary titled With Love, Meghan; however, some A-list stars are reportedly distancing themselves from the couple, with Kim Kardashian being one of them.
A source disclosed to Vanity Fair that “there’s a growing perception of Meghan and Harry as trying too hard,” noting their ages of 40 and 43.
Initially, it seemed that Meghan and Harry were on the verge of collaborating with the Kardashian family. Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, was seen mingling with Kim and Kris Jenner last April.
Furthermore, the Sussexes met with Kris at the vow renewal ceremony for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. However, despite early enthusiasm, Kim Kardashian appears to have changed her position.
A source informed Closer Magazine, “While Kim respects Kris’ backing of them, she doesn’t desire to associate with anyone controversial unless it provides her with significant advantages.”
They added, “Currently, she sees little benefit in connecting with the Sussexes.”
Meghan engages with other Kardashians
Even though Kim, the founder of Skims, has stepped back, Markle is said to be focusing on mending her ties with her sister, Kourtney Kardashian.
Reports indicate that Meghan admires Kourtney’s business venture Poosh and enjoys the content it offers. She also appreciates Kourtney’s Lemme supplements, noting their many shared interests.
Meghan even believes that her spouse, Prince Harry, and Kourtney’s husband, Travis, would connect well.
A source shared with In Touch, “Meghan is confident Harry would appreciate meeting Travis, and believes they would all hit it off, something she and Harry are keen to integrate into their lives in the year ahead.”
