Avid followers of the British Royal Family drama have a unique theory about a selfie featuring Prince William and Taylor Swift at one of her Wembley Eras Tour shows.
The renowned pop sensation has been on a global tour with her show and recently performed at Wembley Stadium. Members of the Royal Family, including Prince William with his children, attended one of her shows.
They were able to snap a picture with Swift and spent time with Travis and Jason Kelce during the show.
Some royal enthusiasts speculate that William’s selfie with Swift may have been intended to evoke jealousy in Meghan Markle.
Podcast Declined
Reports from 2022 suggested that Swift, through a representative, declined an opportunity to appear on Meghan’s podcast previously.
Sources informed The Daily Express that the Duchess of Sussex still feels aggrieved by the rejection and could perceive the viral selfie with the pop star and her brother-in-law as “a bitter pill to swallow.” A source disclosed, “It’s no secret that Meghan made efforts to establish a connection with Taylor, but to no avail.
“It’s challenging for her and Harry not to interpret this as a deliberate move by William and the royals to further undermine them. This is undoubtedly adding insult to injury.” They further imply that Harry and Meghan might view the photo as a “subtly pointed message directed at them” following a perception that William, in particular, tended to “associate with individuals that the Sussexes sought to align with.”
“Attending Taylor Swift’s show is considered evidence of this,” the source told Heat Magazine, noting that the situation was particularly difficult as support from “prominent friends” had been lacking recently.
