Revealing Jeremy Jackson’s Surprising Behavior While Filming ‘Baywatch’

Jeremy Jackson's dark 'Baywatch' secret: A sneaky obsession revealed

Jeremy Jackson, famous for his role as Hobie Buchannon on the iconic ’90s series Baywatch, recently disclosed a shocking habit he had during filming. In Hulu’s new docuseries, After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun, the former child star confessed to a surprising behavior of sneaking into the female cast members’ trailers and getting uncomfortably close to their bathing suits.

On August 28, a clip from the docuseries revealed that Jackson, now 43, would enter the trailers of the female cast members when they were off set, take their used swimsuits, and well, give them a sniff. He candidly shared, “Let’s just say I got to know every [bleep] on Baywatch,” and even mentioned a co-star, Nicole Eggert, whose scent he found irresistible.

Nicole Eggert, who portrayed Summer Quinn and is now 52, battling with breast cancer, wasn’t particularly surprised when informed about Jackson’s admission by producers. She humorously remarked, “I knew Jeremy very well; this doesn’t surprise me at all,” indicating that the actions of a teenage boy amidst a group of swimsuit-clad women didn’t shock her.

Reflecting on his time during Baywatch, Jackson shared that Nicole was the one he looked up to on set, despite her habit of often arriving late carefreely. Eggert seemed unfazed by Jackson’s teenage fixation, jesting that the hormonal chaos on a show like Baywatch was destined to lead to quirky situations.

Jeremy Jackson Discusses Battle with Addiction While Filming

However, Jackson’s experience on the show was not all lighthearted. The actor, who secured the role of Mitch Buchannon’s son at the age of 10, confessed to battling severe demons off-camera. He grappled with a crystal meth addiction during filming, keeping it hidden from his co-stars, including David Hasselhoff, who played his father on screen. Jackson revealed, “I remember David asking if I was smoking pot, and I was like, man, if only they knew the truth.”

Jackson’s struggles didn’t dissipate post-Baywatch. He faced legal repercussions in 2017 following an alleged stabbing incident. Reflecting on his downward spiral, he admitted, “My life slipped through my hands like sand. Would I do it all again? Probably not.”

After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun not only delves into Jackson’s tumultuous past but also brings together several of the show’s stars for a nostalgic journey. While Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff were notably absent from the premiere, their influence is significant in the docuseries. Anderson, known for her portrayal of C.J. Parker, makes an appearance in never-before-seen footage, teasing, “I’m really proud of everything I’ve done-almost.”

The docuseries is now available for streaming on Hulu, offering fans an exclusive peek behind the scenes of the show that left a mark on a generation and the actors who brought the shores of Malibu to life.
