Rolling Stones Set New Record with £10 Million Per Night Earnings on Latest Tour, Outpacing Taylor Swift

Rolling Stones count the money as new tour reaches 10 million pound per night record, beating Taylor Swift

The renowned Rolling Stones have outperformed Taylor Swift in nightly concert earnings, eclipsing the revenue from her record-breaking Eras Tour with their own Hackney Diamonds Tour.

As reported by Pollstar’s annual Voice of Live year-end review, the legendary band generated an extraordinary 10,345,659 pounds each night, establishing them as the leading earners of 2024 in live concert revenue.

With members including Sir Mick Jagger (81), Keith Richards (80), and Ronnie Wood (77), the Stones have demonstrated that their enduring legacy continues to draw large audiences, even after 60 years in the business.

Their 18-date tour broke record ticket sales, with fans eager to secure their seats quickly. Although Swift‘s Eras Tour was the first to achieve over a billion-dollar gross, the Rolling Stones averaged about 100k pounds more per night, concluding their tour with a total of 235 million pounds.

Rolling Stones outshine Taylor Swift in nightly earnings

Despite Swift‘s Eras Tour bringing in 1.74 billion pounds worldwide — significantly more than Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road — the Stones consistently led in nightly earnings.

Their average ticket price was approximately 250 pounds, higher than Swift’s 180 pounds, allowing them to outdistance her in nightly revenues consistently.

Nevertheless, Swift enjoyed unprecedented success, with show demand soaring 196 percent over the next most popular act, Liam Gallagher. Other notable acts such as Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, and Pink closely followed. For comparison, Coldplay came in third with an average of 6,186,482 pounds per concert, nearly 40 percent less than the Rolling Stones.

Besides her remarkable tour profits, Swift generously recognized her team’s efforts, reportedly distributing over 197 million dollars in bonuses to staff members, including drivers, caterers, and security personnel.
