Reports from outlets like Page Six and TMZ indicate that she grappled with various mental health issues that ultimately led her to take her own life.
News of Becker’s untimely demise shocked her family, who revealed that her passing occurred recently. Despite her struggles, her family was taken aback by the news. According to TMZ, Becker had only resided in Illinois for a year, primarily to care for some individuals around her. Her family had mentioned that she had intended to return to California in the near future.
Her mental health deteriorated gradually while she was caring for her mother and sister, as per reports. Additionally, those close to her revealed that she had recently encountered a significant accident involving her scooter.
Fond Farewells to Sarah Becker from Colleagues
“Today I saw the news that we lost one of WildStorm’s favorite people, Sarah Becker. Even if you weren’t into comics in the ’90s, you may remember her from ‘The Real World’ (and the first episode of her season, part of which was filmed in our offices and at Sarah’s wild going away party),” shared writer Jeff Mariotte on social media.
“I just found out that one of the nicest people who ever existed in my life has passed away, especially during the impressionable times of my life. Whenever I thought of her, I always saw her smile and cheerful personality. You were loved and will be missed. Sarah Becker,” expressed Joel Benjamin.
