Sean Combs has proposed to take weekly drug tests and restrict female guests from his Miami residence as part of a bond negotiation in a serious legal battle aimed at securing his release from incarceration.
The music producer and former rapper is facing severe allegations, including human trafficking, sexual and physical abuse of various women, along with controlling and manipulative behavior aimed at maintaining his public image.
On September 18, InTouch.com disclosed that this controversial figure, through his attorney Mark Agnifilo, submitted a motion agreeing to prohibit all visitors at his residence, with the exception of immediate family, caretakers, and friends, provided they aren’t considered co-conspirators.
He intends to restrict female guests, excluding family members and the mothers of his children, while also committing to submit to weekly drug testing. Agnifilo contended that Combs has demonstrated good character and a willingness to comply with legal proceedings.
Combs’ initial bond request rejected
This marks Combs’ second effort to gain release, following a previous motion proposing a $50 million bond secured by his property and that of his mother, which was declined on September 17.
Consequently, the 54-year-old will remain incarcerated, with prosecutors arguing that even with the offered conditions and the surrender of his passport, he still poses a flight risk.
“Given the serious nature of the charges in the indictment,” federal prosecutors stated, “the defendant represents a danger and continues to threaten community safety.”
“If released, he poses a substantial risk of fleeing, despite the safeguards proposed by his defense. Furthermore, he could significantly obstruct justice.”
Combs has been implicated in allegations of kidnapping, drugging, and coercing women into sexual acts through violence, particularly following a lawsuit from his former partner, Cassie Ventura.
Ventura accused Diddy of physical abuse, including inflicting injuries that resulted in visible bruises, and claimed he conducted disturbing incidents involving forcing women into sexual acts. Additionally, she alleged rape and property destruction.
Combs settled the lawsuit the following day, having initially denied all allegations and suggested they were attempts at extortion, while maintaining his innocence.
