Selena Gomez recently shared insights about her romantic experiences in a candid conversation with W Magazine.
The 32-year-old singer reminisced about having “too many crushes” during her youth.
She recalled her admiration for Jesse McCartney, particularly when his song “Beautiful Soul” was released. Additionally, she had a crush on Chad Michael Murray from “One Tree Hill”, but she found herself more attracted to real-life boys than celebrities.
Gomez also reminisced about her first on-screen kiss. It occurred on the television show “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” when she was just 11 or 12 years old, starring opposite Dylan Sprouse.
She described the experience as humorous, explaining, “We were both so young and just learning how to kiss. I was terrified as it was my first time.”
In a previous disclosure, she mentioned that kissing Sprouse felt like one of the worst days of her life, especially since she had a crush on his twin brother Cole.
During her appearance on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, Gomez reflected, “I thought Dylan and I were going to be a couple.”
This kiss happened before she gained fame on ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ as Gwen.
Looking back, she recalled leaning in for the kiss with her eyes closed a little too soon, resulting in an awkward moment where she barely made contact. “It turned out to be the most awkward kiss imaginable,” she shared with Twist Magazine.
As for her first kiss in real life, Selena revealed it occurred at age 14 with a boy named Juan.
Gomez’s Engagement Announcement
In a recent interview, Gomez revealed her engagement to Benny Blanco. The 32-year-old star shared the exciting news on Instagram, showcasing her stunning 8-carat marquise-cut engagement ring.
“The engagement ring chosen by Benny for Selena is exquisite and perfectly aligns with her taste,” stated jeweller Laura Taylor in an interview.
“This ring boasts a magnificent marquise-cut diamond in the center, estimated to weigh about 8 carats, elegantly mounted on a yellow gold pavé band.”
“The marquise cut is recognized for its unique elongated shape, enhancing the brilliance of the diamond while giving an elongated appearance to the finger for a refined look.”
“The pavé band features a continuous collection of smaller diamonds closely arranged, adding a luxurious touch that enhances the primary marquise diamond.”
“This design not only highlights the diamond’s brilliance but also retains a level of sophistication.
“The main diamond is likely of top-notch quality, potentially featuring VVS1 clarity and a colorless grade in the D-F spectrum. I estimate the value of the ring to be over $1 million, depending on the exact characteristics of the diamond.”
