Sofia Vergara hasn’t publicly acknowledged a special connection with Dr. Justin Saliman, despite rumors of their romance following her split from Joe Manganiello, after seven years of marriage.
The talented Colombian actress describes herself as ‘half single,’ sharing her current relationship status while not fully confirming her involvement with the doctor, whom she started dating in October 2023, just three months post her separation from Manganiello.
Although they have been together for around a year, their relationship remains somewhat ambiguous. “I actually talked about it yesterday,” she mentioned to Us Weekly recently, explaining, “because I’m single now”.
However, she refrained from elaborating on her “half single” remark.
Sofia Vergara’s New Beginnings in New York
“In New York, there’s a more varied mix of people compared to Los Angeles, where most are in entertainment,” she shared about her recent move, noting that the city attracts “individuals from all parts of the globe: architects, writers, actors, entrepreneurs”.
This diverse environment may provide opportunities for her to meet a range of new and intriguing individuals.
Since her divorce, Sofia has kept her personal matters private. However, she did mention in August that she has been “enjoying life with him” and expressed her gratitude toward those around her.
In April, it was revealed that Sofia had expressed her affection for the doctor after her knee surgery.
“If you’re going to have major knee surgery, make sure to have a handsome doctor beside you that night!” she joked in a post featuring a cheerful doctor in blue scrubs by her bedside. “Love you, Dr. @jdsaliman,” she added with a heart emoji.
Prior to dating Sofia, Saliman was married to actress Bree Turner for ten years and has two children from their marriage, which ended in divorce in 2018.
A while back, Sofia remarked that she couldn’t afford to be too “picky” with potential partners.
“Finding someone in my 50s is tough enough. I’m not going to restrict myself to a specific type, like, ‘Oh, he must be a doctor or an astronaut.’ I’m flexible,” she shared with People. “You never know what the future holds; it’s essential to do your best and be a great partner to one another.”
