Following their separate attendance at the Kansas City Chiefs‘ opening game, insiders stated there is “no tension” between the two, countering speculation from external observers.
A source speaking to The Sun noted that Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes had different commitments on game day, which led to their separate seating arrangements.
“They are really close, excited to hang out, but plans changed, which can happen sometimes,” the source shared with The Sun.
Brittany, married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, favored a family-oriented setting, while Swift opted for a vibrant, social experience, particularly after her relationship with Travis Kelce began.

Meanwhile, Brittany Mahomes, who is expecting her third child, enjoyed the game alongside her daughter, Sterling Skye, on the sidelines, while Taylor Swift watched the Chiefs secure a 27-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens from a suite.
Swift, who’s been dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for more than a year, was seen with Kelce’s family, including his parents, Donna and Ed Kelce.
Despite arriving separately, Swift and Mahomes reportedly enjoyed each other’s company both before and after the game, waiting for Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
