Blake Lively is taking legal action against her co-star and director Justin Baldoni from the film It Ends with Us, citing sexual harassment and a scheme to damage her reputation. This lawsuit has revealed significant issues and serious claims that have disturbed the entertainment realm.

Lively has requested regulations that would prevent Baldoni from sharing explicit images or discussing his alleged “pornography addiction,” commenting on her appearance, or referring to her late father. She also wants to ensure that no additional explicit scenes are added outside of the script she accepted prior to the film’s production.

The lawsuit details the rising tensions that culminated in an urgent meeting that involved Lively’s spouse, actor Ryan Reynolds.

Creative Differences

Lively, wife of Ryan Reynolds and a close associate of Taylor Swift, argues that clashes regarding the film’s promotional strategy added to the conflict. While she aimed to emphasize her character’s strength, Baldoni favored a focus on domestic violence, in line with the themes from Colleen Hoover‘s popular novel. Lively contends these disagreements played a major role in the film’s struggles.

The lawsuit claims that Baldoni‘s team engaged in a “social manipulation” effort aimed at undermining her public image. Documents presented in the lawsuit reportedly include messages from Baldoni‘s publicist detailing plans to diminish Lively‘s reputation.

Baldoni’s Defense

Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, has strongly rejected the accusations, labeling them “untrue, outrageous, and purposely provocative.” Freedman accused Lively of being uncooperative on set, alleging she threatened to withdraw from filming or promoting the movie, which he believes adversely affected its reception.

Furthermore, it emerged that Baldoni had questioned his trainer about Lively‘s weight during filming, a move that she interpreted as body shaming. Baldoni has reportedly defended his question as being related to concerns about his own back injury, rather than an effort to insult her.
