Taylor Swift is unexpectedly involved in a legal situation regarding Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Lively has accused Baldoni, known for his work on ‘It Ends With Us’, of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior on set.
Swift will testify at the trial scheduled for March 9, 2026, as reported by TMZ. The request for her appearance came from Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, citing the inclusion of Swift’s song ‘My Tears Ricochet’ in the film’s soundtrack.
Swift’s legal representatives emphasize that their goal is merely to draw attention and argue that the media is sensationalizing the situation instead of addressing the actual case details.
“Taylor Swift was never present on the film set, didn’t have any input in casting, and played no role in the soundtrack. Additionally, she didn’t view any footage or notes related to it and only watched ‘It Ends With Us’ weeks after it premiered, while she was on a major worldwide tour during 2023 and 2024,” a spokesperson clarified.
Blake Lively’s Accusations Against Justin Baldoni
The accusations of sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct are just one facet of the ongoing dispute. Lively has also claimed that Baldoni, along with his production company, is attempting to tarnish her reputation, after being sued by Baldoni’s team for allegedly trying to “destroy” his career.
Following this, Lively submitted a complaint to the California Department of Civil Rights through an article in The New York Times, seeking $400 million in damages.
