Taylor Swift‘s residence in Rhode Island has stirred heated debate among her fans online. Many have criticized a fan who recorded the property during renovations, labeling the act as “creepy,” although it’s unclear if Swift was present at the time.
The singer owns multiple properties across the United States, including her Rhode Island home, along with residences in Tennessee, New York City, and Los Angeles. She also spends time with Travis Kelce when visiting the Kansas City Chiefs player.
Given the secluded nature of her property, the likelihood of encountering her at home is slim. Still, her devoted fans are quick to defend the 14-time Grammy winner.
This controversy erupted on TikTok, where a user known as @biggie.slime filmed the ongoing construction at Swift’s New England home. Fans speculated about the purpose of the renovations, suggesting possibilities like a recording studio, a museum for her Eras Tour, or humorously, a guest suite for herself.
However, not everyone appreciated the footage, which was captured from a nearby beach looking up at the house that sits atop a hill. Critics deemed it invasive, expressing discomfort over the proximity to Swift’s private space.
One commenter remarked, “This feels creepy. Not a Swift vibe at all.”
Another agreed, stating, “This is just strange.”
Additionally, a critique pondered, “Is it just me or is it none of our business? Food for thought!”

As a young and immensely popular artist, Swift has encountered her share of stalkers since reaching global fame.
A recent incident occurred during her Eras Tour in Germany where authorities arrested an individual in Gelsenkirchen for attempting to enter her concert at Veltins Arena, reportedly due to recommendations from event staff.
The individual allegedly made threats towards Swift, though no further details were disclosed, and she proceeded with her performances uninterrupted. The sold-out shows attracted 60,000 fans over three nights before she continued her tour across Europe.
