Reportedly, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s rift has reached a point where reconciliation seems unlikely. Their feud, supposedly more intense than public knowledge, allegedly stems from a trivial issue – Princess Charlotte’s dress.

Prior to the dress incident, tensions were escalating between the two, primarily on Middleton’s side. Middleton was purportedly displeased that Markle overshadowed her and Prince William when she became romantically involved with Prince Harry, grabbing the spotlight before holding a royal title. With Middleton feeling somewhat overshadowed by her sister-in-law, minor incidents triggered her. The feud between them allegedly began during Princess Charlotte’s dress fitting for Markle and Harry’s wedding.

At Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, all of the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton had roles to play except for Prince Louis. Princess Charlotte and Prince George were bridesmaid and pageboy, respectively, in the ceremony. Despite charming everyone with their adorable presence, behind the scenes, turmoil brewed over Princess Charlotte’s dress.

The dresses worn by Princess Charlotte and the other bridesmaids were crafted by Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy, who also designed Markle’s wedding gown. While a third-party altered the dresses to fit the girls, Middleton reportedly found the process rushed, resulting in a ill-fitting dress for the princess. Sources revealed to People that the situation led Middleton to tears, although Markle recounted a different version to Oprah, mentioning how Kate’s remarks made her upset and emotional.

However, Ajay Mirpuri, the tailor responsible for the dress alterations, asserted to the Daily Mail that there were no complaints or dramas on the wedding day about the bridesmaids’ outfits.

After the dress incident, a brief calm settled between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton. Markle shared in an interview with Oprah that Middleton had apologized sincerely, bringing flowers and a note as a gesture of accountability.

Unfortunately, the peace was short-lived and deteriorated due to the widening gap between Prince William and Prince Harry.
