The Current Journey of Dayna Kathan from Vanderpump Rules

Whatever Happened To Dayna Kathan From Vanderpump Rules?

Joining a long-running reality series like “Vanderpump Rules” can be quite challenging, yet Dayna Kathan made a memorable impression during the show’s eighth season. Displaying her sharp humor and early stand-up comedy aspirations, she was introduced as a staff member at TomTom and later worked at SUR under Lisa Vanderpump. Kathan expressed that her intention was to leverage the show as a stepping stone for her comedy career, stating, “I took the job at TomTom and now SUR so I can hopefully leave my day job in healthcare sales,” as cited in a Bravo interview.

Though she was well-received by fans, Kathan made the decision to exit the series after Season 8, announcing her departure in 2021. In a 2023 podcast conversation with fellow cast member Scheana Shay on “Scheananigans,” she elaborated on her reasons for leaving, clarifying that becoming a reality TV star wasn’t her goal upon moving to LA. This leaves the question: What has Kathan been engaging in since her exit from “Vanderpump Rules” after the 2020 season?

Kathan focuses on healthcare sales while also delving into podcasting

Since her time on Season 8, Dayna Kathan has returned to her professional career in healthcare sales. Simultaneously, she pursues her comedic interests through a podcast she co-hosts with her “Vanderpump Rules” colleague and close friend, Katie Maloney. The podcast, named “Disrespectfully,” which debuted in January 2024, explores themes like dating blunders and relationship hurdles along with the duo’s genuine stories and insights. This follows Kathan’s earlier podcast attempt, “Unf*ckwithable,” which she ran solo in 2020.

While she has largely stepped away from the reality television scene, Kathan did make a brief appearance in Season 11 of “Vanderpump Rules.” However, she quickly realized it wasn’t right for her, stating, “I filmed and immediately I was like, ‘I can’t do this,'” during a January 2024 interview on “The Viall Files.” This experience reinforced her decision to move on from the show. For now, fans who want to follow her journey can catch her on “Disrespectfully.”
