Engagement of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez is in the spotlight as rumors about their wedding plans grow, with all eyes on when they might officially tie the knot.
Despite appearing to be a solid couple following their attendance at Donald Trump’s recent inauguration, it’s been a while since Jeff proposed during the maiden journey of his extravagant $500 million super yacht, Koru.
Some speculate the delay may be due to their desire for a meticulously planned wedding, one that aims to be unprecedented in scale.
Lauren expressed her enthusiasm about taking the Bezos name in an interview with Vogue a few months after their engagement in May 2023, stating, “Absolutely! I can’t wait to become Mrs. Bezos.”
Additionally, she mentioned to *Today* that she had already purchased her wedding dress, saying, “I’m working on it right now, and I’m so thrilled!”
There were even whispers of a potential wedding venue at Kevin Costner’s expansive Colorado ranch, but those plans ultimately fizzled out.
Will They Ever Marry?
Despite the ongoing legal disputes between Lauren and her brother Jeff, he recently shared thoughts about their wedding aspirations prior to the inauguration.
“Disappointed is putting it mildly,” said Michael during an interview with the Daily Mail. “Lauren and Jeff had initially discussed a quick wedding back in 2019, wanting to go public while ensuring it wasn’t just seen as an affair.”
He continued by revealing some wedding plans discussed between him and Lauren that still linger unfulfilled.
“We began our wedding plans years ago,” stated Michael. “We aimed to outshine my and Lauren’s favorite wedding scenes from the movie *Crazy Rich Asians*.”
“Jeff and I once toyed with the idea of having the first wedding in space, considering the immense PR potential and sheer novelty, but he dismissed it, saying it was ‘too dangerous.’
