Fans of “Holmes Family Rescue” were likely surprised by Mike Holmes’ legal issues regarding home inspections. He faced accusations for approving houses in the TerraceWood developments, which were later discovered to have significant defects, leading to some needing complete demolition. It was revealed that Holmes’ inspection company was not involved in these inspections, but his promotional role raised eyebrows about his oversight of the properties.

Holmes’ critics seized the opportunity to voice their opinions on the InterNACHI forums, with some arguing that the home inspector should have identified the problems earlier.
