The untimely death of 17-year-old dancer and America’s Got Talent participant Emily Gold has been tragically confirmed as a suicide. The talented performer from Los Osos High School in Southern California passed away on Friday, September 13, leaving her community and fans in profound grief.
Gold’s tragic incident occurred on the eastbound 210 freeway, where according to the California Highway Patrol, she was found in the carpool lane after being hit by a vehicle. Officer Rodrigo Jimenez stated that responders arrived at the scene to reports of “a pedestrian down in lanes” only to discover that she had already succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead there.
In light of this tragedy, authorities are asking anyone with additional information to reach out. Officer S. Gonzalez leads the investigation, with the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department also involved in examining the circumstances surrounding Gold’s death.
