At 44, she had been battling Leiomyosarcoma since 2023, living with significant pain while fulfilling her role as a radio host. Ultimately, cancer was the cause of her demise.
Leiomyosarcoma (LMS) is a rare and aggressive form of cancer that originates in smooth muscle tissue, commonly found in areas like the uterus, stomach, intestines, and blood vessels, but it can appear in any part of the body.
Symptoms can differ based on the tumor’s location and may include discomfort, swelling, or issues with organ functions.
This cancer tends to grow swiftly and can spread to other regions, such as the lungs or liver. Treatment options usually consist of surgery to eliminate the tumor, often paired with radiation therapy or chemotherapy.
