Travis Kelce humorously stated that marrying Taylor Swift in the Fall is off the table as it would be too close to their anniversary. The 35-year-old tight end noted they need to choose a weekend when the Kansas City Chiefs aren’t playing.
The couple, who began their relationship in August/September 2023, has faced increasing speculation about a possible engagement, although they have not confirmed any details.
It’s a significant development that the NFL player is even contemplating wedding dates as they approach 17 months of dating, but he firmly stated that October isn’t an option for their nuptials.
“I’ve seen weddings in f**king February,” Kelce remarked on the New Heights podcast. “I’ve seen weddings anywhere but the Fall. So I’m not convinced Fall is the right wedding season.”

This comment surfaced during a lighthearted exchange where he advised a caller to avoid a Fall wedding to ensure he wouldn’t miss any Chiefs games.
On a more serious note, he warned the caller against scheduling a wedding during the NFL season, emphasizing that his partner deserves his undivided attention on their anniversary, not football.
However, tension arose when Jason Kelce, Travis’ older brother, urged the caller to prioritize the wedding, insisting it eclipses any football event.
“Listen, I’ll tell you right now,” Jason advised. “Go for the Fall wedding and avoid unnecessary disputes that are trivial.”
“You can always catch the game later; just record it. Honestly, there are matters that are much more significant than football, and if the wedding isn’t one of them, we’ve got bigger issues at hand.”
