Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs made Taylor Swift and her father wait for 55 minutes as they were about to fly to the east coast of the U.S.. The delay was due to the football player needing an armed escort to the airplane.
During a weekend off because of the Chiefs’ bye week, Kelce seemed to mismanage his time, causing a setback before Swift’s upcoming Eras Tour performance.
The private jet was scheduled to depart Missouri at 6:05 PM, but Kelce’s arrival in a Hummer wasn’t until 7:00 PM, making him somewhat embarrassed as he boarded.
He reportedly became flustered trying to maneuver the vehicle onto the tarmac, only to discover the gate was locked. It was ultimately a member of Swift’s security team who helped him reach the luxurious $61 million jet, where he hurried up the stairs.
It’s not entirely clear why the two arrived separately after spending the day together at Kelce’s home. This could be linked to Swift’s father’s attendance at the game against the New Orleans Saints on October 7.
Eras Tour Resumption Details
They may be heading from Missouri to the East Coast due to Swift’s upcoming commitments for her Eras Tour, which resumes at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami from October 18-20.
However, the status of the show remains uncertain following the impact of Hurricane Milton, with fans urging Swift to consider canceling or postponing performances as many are still recovering from the aftermath of the Category 4 storm.
Hurricane Milton hit Florida on October 9, sweeping through the Tampa area and affecting almost the entire state before moving into the Atlantic Ocean, where it is expected to weaken rapidly after being downgraded to a Category 1 storm.
