Travis Kelce recently had a whirlwind experience during his date with Taylor Swift at Yankee Stadium, where the Yankees faced off against the Guardians.
While he shared enjoyable moments with Swift, the tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs, age 35, was saddened to witness his favorite team, the Cleveland Guardians, succumb to the New York Yankees.
On his podcast “New Heights,” co-hosted with his brother Jason Kelce, Travis shared his feelings about the experience.
“The night was filled with mixed emotions as I was there to enjoy it with Taylor and our friends. It was definitely a fun experience,” he expressed.
Navigating a fan’s heartbreak
Despite the fun atmosphere, Kelce found it challenging to watch the Guardians lose 5-2.
“Even though the Guardians lost, the game was thrilling,” he noted. “I’ve always dreamed of seeing Yankee Stadium firsthand, especially in playoff season, and it truly lived up to my expectations.”
Emphasizing his loyalty, he added, “Being at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, I was supporting the Guardians in enemy territory. As a Cleveland native, I desperately want to witness my city win a World Series.”
An unforgettable evening
Though the game’s result was disappointing, Kelce cherished his time with Swift. They maintained a low-key presence at the stadium, but fans spotted their tender interactions. Swift playfully fed him popcorn during the game, adding to the night’s sweetness.
Both dressed casually; Swift wore a comfy brown sweater with a black mini skirt and a baseball cap, while Kelce opted for a bomber jacket and a Midnight Rodeo hat. Despite their casual attire, the couple’s VIP box appearance caught significant attention.
Their baseball outing followed earlier romantic dates in New York City, such as dinner at Torrisi and a meet-up with friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in Soho.
Even with the Guardians’ defeat, it’s clear that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are relishing their time together, both during games and out on the town.
