Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes have seemingly resolved their differences that led to their avoidance of one another during the early weeks of the 2024/25 NFL season, which were rumored to stem from their differing political beliefs.
The popular singer Eras Tour is a known supporter of Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party in the upcoming 2024 U.S. Presidential Election, while Mahomes appeared to show her support for the Republicans, specifically Donald Trump and J.D. Vance, through social media posts.
For a while, they seemed to keep their distance at Arrowhead Stadium during the season’s first few games, although both attended the US Open Final, where Jannik Sinner triumphed over Taylor Fritz, leaving fans uncertain about their status.
Currently, it appears their relationship has improved, with sources claiming they have grown closer, despite their stark political differences as Election Day approaches on November 5.
“They appreciate that they share many fundamental values,” a source shared with The Sun. “Even if they might disagree on certain topics.
“They are more than friends; they consider each other family, which is what matters most.”
Mahomes reconsidering her support for Trump
Mahomes, who graces the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, defended herself against critics, implying that they lack understanding if they are overly focused on her voting choices and personal life.
Despite this, she has not publicly distanced herself from Trump’s campaign, even after he posted, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” on his social media platform, Truth Social, affecting her emotionally according to reports.
“She is reevaluating her support for Trump following his derogatory comments about Taylor, saying he dislikes her,” a source revealed to DailyMail.com. “Brittany was genuinely upset by this because Taylor is like a sister to her and she feels Taylor has done nothing wrong.
