On Wednesday, it was reported that Pep Guardiola and Cristina Serra have ended their marriage after 30 years and raising three children. Just a day later, journalist Lorena Vazquez disclosed the circumstances surrounding this prominent separation.
This surprising development coincides with a period of significant challenges for Guardiola, who is dealing with a serious crisis as the manager of Manchester City.
According to Lorena Vazquez, the primary factor in the split was related to the team. She stated, “Guardiola’s contract renewal with Manchester City for two additional years was pivotal.”
Despite prior speculation about his departure, it was confirmed that Guardiola extended his contract by two seasons beyond its original end date of this season. This decision reportedly did not sit well with Cristina Serra, which ultimately led to the end of their long-term relationship.
