Jelly Roll described his marriage to Bunnie Xo as somewhat spontaneous
The couple’s journey began in 2015 when Jelly Roll met Bunnie Xo during a performance in Las Vegas. However, Bunnie later shared on the “Wife of the Party” podcast that she was involved in a toxic relationship at the time. It wasn’t until her partner was incarcerated that Jelly Roll began to show interest. Quite the unique love story, isn’t it?
Their engagement and marriage were also far from traditional. “We had a pretty spur-of-the-moment wedding. I proposed to her on stage during a Yelawolf-Deftones concert,” Jelly Roll revealed on the “King and the Sting” podcast. Jelly later explained to People that they were a bit unclear about their wedding date, admitting they were both quite inebriated during the event. “There’s always been confusion around our anniversary because we had different ideas about when it was. Neither of us really knew,” Jelly shared.
The most significant challenge arose shortly after their vows were exchanged. In 2018, the couple briefly went their separate ways when Bunnie discovered that Jelly had been unfaithful with an ex for an entire year. “This happened right after we tied the knot,” Bunnie told host LeeAnn Kreischer. Nonetheless, they managed to reconcile, and Bunnie believes this experience ultimately strengthened their bond. “It occurred for a purpose, and I am grateful it did, as it transformed us into the best of friends … I can’t envision my life without him,” she stated.
