Disney+ Sets Release Date for "American Born Chinese" and Releases Teaser Featuring Michelle Yeoh

Disney+ is set to release a new action-packed series called “American Born Chinese” based on the 2006 graphic novel of the same name by Gene Luen Yang. The show is set to premiere on Wednesday, May 24 and will feature a major “Everything Everywhere All at Once” reunion. The teaser for the show reveals that the fate of the world hangs in the balance and it’s up to a young boy to become the hero the world needs.

The series has an impressive creative team working behind the scenes, including Kelvin Yu (“Bob’s Burgers”), who created and is showrunning the series. Melvin Mar and Jake Kasdan, who previously worked on “Fresh Off the Boat,” are executive producers, as well as Asher Goldstein (“Just Mercy”), Erin O’Malley (“New Girl”), and Destin Daniel Cretton, director of “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”.
