Reports indicated that he had made “30 terrorizing telephone calls to her in 24 hours” after their relationship ended. The content of the voicemails was described as a “twisted mix of misogynistic insults and rage”. Despite this, Gibson’s long-time friend and civil rights activist Danny Glover has remained by his side.
