In 2020, Donald Trump held a rally at Tulsa’s BOK Center, despite the advice of his own coronavirus taskforce. He had claimed that the event would be packed out, but footage showed that many of the 19,000 seats were empty. Pink, one of Trump’s biggest celebrity detractors, couldn’t resist commenting on the situation, tweeting “#donkeyshow” and “I think I sold that same place out in five minutes.” She also criticized Trump for holding the rally in the first place, writing, “Don’t hurt the people that love you. I would never ask people to come to an arena right now. No good person would.” Pink had previously made her feelings about Trump clear in 2017, when she was asked if she would update her anti-George Bush song, “Dear Mr. President.” She responded with the tweet, “There aren’t words for this shameful person.”
