Jenny Mollen has proven her acting chops with her roles in popular shows such as “Angel” and “Viva Laughlin,” but she also showed her writing skills with her 2009 short film “Kidnapping Caitlynn,” starring herself and Jason Biggs. Mollen had the idea for the dark comedy about kidnapping an ex’s new girlfriend after joking about the real-life possibility with Biggs. “Jason and I, when we first met, we were doing a movie together and I said, ‘You know, if I knew that I was going to get serious about somebody so fast, I would have kept my dogs from the past relationship’ … and I would always joke, ‘Let’s take her back. Let’s just go kidnap her!’!” she told Getty Images Entertainment Video. She explained that Biggs added, “Yeah, and for s***s and giggles, let’s just take his new girlfriend, too.”
In 2016, Mollen and Biggs starred together as a married couple in yet another film, “Amateur Night.” On working with her husband, Mollen joked with Extra, “It was fun doing this with Jason because I feel like our son will always have this, like something to go in the time capsule of a time when we actually loved each other.” On a more serious note, she added, “I loved just watching him improvise.” Biggs clearly isn’t the only funny one in the family and Mollen’s bestselling memoirs show how hilarious she is.
