Jimmy Fallon Pranks Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson with "The Voice" Audition

The judges of “The Voice” were taken aback this week when a famous face showed up to audition. On March 7, Jimmy Fallon made an appearance on the NBC show, singing Michael McDonald’s “I Keep Forgettin’ (Every Time You’re Near).” The four judges had no idea who was singing, but Kelly Clarkson was the first to recognize the late-night talk show host. Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper soon followed, and even Blake Shelton eventually turned around after Fallon walked up to his chair and pushed the button himself.

Fallon’s performance was a tribute to Shelton, who is leaving “The Voice” at the end of the current season. Fallon expressed his admiration for Shelton’s 23-season run on the show, and then revealed that if he were to work with one of the judges, he’d choose Clarkson. “I’m on Kelly’s team!” he said.
