The rankings also emphasized Scott’s knack for gritty narratives and historical dramas, as seen with “Black Hawk Down” (29 votes) and “The Duellists” (24 votes) among the top ten. More recent projects, such as “The Last Duel” (18 votes) and the divisive “The Counselor” (17 votes), were also mentioned, underlining his ongoing commitment to innovative storytelling.
Nevertheless, Scott’s journey has had its share of less successful ventures. Films like Robin Hood (2010) failed to gain traction, alongside others such as A Good Year and White Squall, which received minimal recognition with just a single vote each.
