Disney’s eagerly awaited live-action adaptation of Snow White has had its trailer leaked online, just a few days after its theater debut alongside Wicked. Directed by Marc Webb, known for 500 Days of Summer, and penned by Greta Gerwig, the film is set to release on March 21, 2025, generating both enthusiasm and controversy.
The newly leaked trailer showcases Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, who is already a standout with her compelling performance. However, the extensive use of CGI for the dwarfs has received mixed reviews from the audience.
The film has not been without its controversies. Nonetheless, the talented team behind the film provides a glimmer of hope. Gerwig’s contributions could usher in a refreshed storyline, while Webb’s experience in crafting character-centric narratives adds to the film’s promise.
As Snow White approaches its release date, the combination of nostalgia, contemporary twists, and ongoing controversies ensures it will attract considerable attention from both fans and critics. The question remains whether it can meet the high expectations or turn out to be an expensive failure.
