On March 25th, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour kicked off with a special guest appearance from Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons. The two performed “Cowboy Like Me” from Swift’s “Evermore” album, and Mumford shared a video of the performance on his TikTok. After the show, Swift thanked Mumford for his contribution and revealed the story behind the collaboration. She said that when recording studios were closed due to the pandemic, Mumford offered his home studio for her to use and he ended up joining her on the track.
The Eras Tour is set to continue through August, and fans are speculating who else Swift might invite to join her on stage. She has collaborated with many artists in the past, such as Haim, Phoebe Bridgers, Maren Morris, Keith Urban, Lana Del Rey, Bon Iver, The Chicks, Kendrick Lamar, Zayn, and Ed Sheeran, so any of them could make an appearance. Additionally, fans are hoping that Swift will record a new song or remix with Harry Styles when she releases “1989 (Taylor’s Version).” With two surprise songs every night, there’s lots of potential for live collaborations. We’ll just have to wait and see!
