René Hurtado and Max Bochman just said “I do” at an Eras Tour stop, and they’re breaking down everything that went into the big moment in front of Taylor Swift’s stage. The 30-year-old California native, who works as a workplace operations manager for a tech startup, and her 32-year-old husband, who reside in Tempe, had been together for over eight years before Bochman popped the question in September 2021. They had always planned to get legally married ahead of their wedding festivities, and when Swift announced her tour dates, Hurtado knew it was the perfect opportunity. After months of convincing, Bochman agreed to the plan and with 15 minutes in the virtual queue, they secured front-row seats to their wedding.
On the big night, Hurtado wore a white Anthropologie gown and veil and they said their vows during a “quiet time in the arena.” Other fans quickly noticed and cheered when they kissed. Hurtado hasn’t heard from Swift herself yet, but one of her team members gifted her a guitar pick she used during the show.
Hurtado and Bochman are now enjoying their newlywed bliss and the internet attention their videos have gotten on platforms like TikTok. They’re also looking forward to their traditional wedding celebration set for March 2024, which will likely be accompanied by Hurtado’s favorite artist.
