Upon her arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, the newly crowned beauty queen was greeted by a specially designed double-decker bus showcasing her crowning image. A grand parade then commenced, cruising through the city’s key thoroughfares.
The procession traveled along prominent streets such as Nguyen Van Troi, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, and Dong Khoi, making stops at historic sites including the Municipal Theatre, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Building, Independence Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Statue, and Bach Dang Wharf Park.
Accompanying Thanh Thuy was Mr. Stephen Diaz from the Miss International Organization. As they moved along the parade route, fans expressed their excitement, with students from Le Quy Don High School waving from nearby sidewalks and balconies.
Her image along with her title was prominently featured on large LED screens at key locations, and banners lining Truong Son Street also displayed her likeness.
As she traveled through the city’s bustling streets, Thanh Thuy appeared deeply touched by the warm reception from the crowd. Despite the sunny conditions, the spirit of celebration was lively and cheerful.
Thanh Thuy’s triumph in the Miss International 2024 competition signifies a historic achievement for Vietnam, as it marks the highest honor attained by a Vietnamese contestant in the pageant’s history.
