As highlighted by Forbes, Mr. Viet was an accomplished individual, holding a PhD in physics. His international education began as an Eastern European student. Together with his wife, he embarked on their business venture in Poland before returning to Vietnam to further their entrepreneurial aspirations.

BIM Group was founded in 1994, starting with the construction of the Ha Long Plaza Hotel and later diversifying into aquaculture, real estate, and renewable energy sectors.

Today, BIM Group stands as a private corporation operating across various sectors including real estate, agriculture and food production, renewable energy, and consumer services.
Real Estate Ventures
In real estate, the company boasts extensive land assets in regions like Quang Ninh, Phu Quoc, Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Ninh Thuan, and even in Laos. BIM Group partners with leading firms such as Hyatt and InterContinental Hotels Group, enhancing its market presence.
Investment in Renewable Energy
Through its subsidiary, BIM Energy, the company is heavily invested in renewable solutions, particularly solar and wind energy in Ninh Thuan. The facilities are strategically placed on a 2,500-hectare salt field, establishing Vietnam’s largest green economic zone dedicated to clean energy and salt production.
Future Goals
BIM Group’s investment in Ninh Thuan amounts to 12 trillion VND, with a vision of achieving at least 1 GW of clean energy, harnessing solar and wind, by the year 2025.
Leadership Continuity
Currently, Mr. Viet’s son, Doan Quoc Huy, holds the position of Vice Chairman and is responsible for overseeing real estate and energy investments, while his daughter, Doan Thanh Mai, manages tourism and marketing initiatives.
