Valuable Jewelry Recovered After Mistaken Disposal
In Da Nang, an unfortunate incident occurred when Ms. H.’s daughter, while preparing the house for Tet, accidentally discarded a bag containing valuable jewelry, including a diamond ring.
On January 29, a confirmatory statement was shared by a representative from the Transport Enterprise of the Da Nang Urban Environment Company. They reported that their crew successfully located and returned the cherished belongings lost by Ms. C.T.M.H., a resident of Cam Le District, during Tet festivities in 2025.
The retrieved items featured several jewelry pieces, notably a diamond ring valued at an impressive 1 billion VND.
While cleaning, Ms. H.’s daughter, who had just returned from abroad, mistakenly tossed the bag, which held the diamond ring, into a trash can on Nguyen Huu Tho Street, Cam Le District. The garbage was subsequently collected and sent to the Le Thanh Nghi compaction station in Hai Chau District.
Upon realizing the error, Ms. H. hurried after the trash truck to the Khanh Son landfill in Lien Chieu District, urging for a designated area to search for the lost items.
With the assistance of sanitation workers, the search proved successful. Just before midnight on New Year’s Eve, the precious jewelry was found and returned to Ms. H.
